Act like lovers do. This is the term the Merkur Internationale FH is living for. To improve the students and to help them finding their strengths, it is necessary to have somebody experienced to take care of them. For this reason we are trying to establish the Cross-Mentoring-Program.
Our goal is that each student will be able to have one mentor. That way the students can communicate with their mentor an will be able to learn things that are not only theoretical. Meeting the mentor at least twice a year should be possible. That way the mentee will get to know the mentor and a better relationship between them might be beneficial for both. Building a network for the student is of course important and the mentor might be able to introduce the mentee to his/hers partners. But not only the mentee is benefiting from this. To renew the networks of the mentor with young people is important as well and the mentee might even be able to help his mentor in some ways.
Once a year the Merkur Internationale FH wants to invite all mentors and their mentees to a special event. That way the mentors will get to know each other.
